Many people have told us that Rio de Janeiro is their favorite place in the world! We have always looked forward to vacationing in Rio; so Merry Christmas to us, here we are! We decided to wait to take Stavros to see Santa Claus this year until we arrived in Rio, because we thought it would make for a special story to tell him later in life! Visiting Santa was the first thing we did! Stavros tolerated Santa, but certainly was not thrilled with him! We did some shopping, grabbed a much-welcomed Starbuck’s (we don’t have Starbuck’s where we live–which makes it a miracle that Tammer agreed to live there). We had a fabulous dinner at our hotel, then we took in the amazing views the hotel offers and watched the sunset! It’s only been one day and we’re already in love with Rio!
